THE MELBOURNE TRAGEDY.
Melbourne, June 22
The detectives believe that the woman Auden-.on, who shot Fraser, had practised hypnotism, and was able to exercise influence over her victim. The latter's diary was well kept, and shows that his life was frequently threatened by the woman, who was apparently madly in love with him, She only brought the action to recover moneys alleged to be due for board and lodging in order to coerce him into marriage.
