H. W. MITCHELL'S BANKRUPTCY.
m AjtEKTTSG in the estate of H. W. Mitchell was held at the Official Assignee's Office thia morning. The Official Assignee saidftbe meeting bad been called specially to consider the bankrupt's application for discharge. On the motion of Mr McMillan, seconded Ly Mr J. W. Liwgon (National Bank), it was resolved, "That prior to the consideration of the application of the bank' rupt for his discharge, an endeavoar be made to obtain a Committee appointed by 'Parliament to enquire into the claims alleged to be due to him, and thai-' a petition for that pnrpoae be prepared and presented to the Houeo." It was understood this should be done by supervisor?, assisted by Mr Dufaur and the bankrupt.
