The second of a series of entertainments under the bhe auspices of the- Orange Institution, will take place in the Foresters' Hall, Newton, on Tuesday evening next. The Rev. G. 6. Monro has kindly consented to deliver hia popular lecture on "The Highlands and Lowlands of Scotland," illustrated by sixty beautiful limelight views, which will be interspersed with aongs, recitations, etc., iv which Among others the following will bake part:— Mesdames Edmonds and MeColl, Misses Brooks, Eilgour, Heron, Abbott, and Webley, Masters Taylor, and Mr J. Robertson. As the admission is only sixpence, bhere should be a large gathering on the occasion.
