HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE AID BOARD.
Tee usual meeting of tbe Auckland Hospital and Charitable Aid Board was held this afternoon. Present: Messrs J. Bollard (Chairman), Swnlof., McCabe, Trenwith, Bruce, Ambury, Hesketb, and Lennox.
Night Refuge.—A letter wae read from the Town Clerk (Auckland city) requesting the members of the Bohrd to attend at the next meeting of the Legal Committee to confer relative to tbe establishment of a nigh, -refuge. It was agreed that the Legal Committa. of the City Council bo invited to attend -he nexb meeting of the Charitable Aid Board and state their viewß. * .
Hospital Reserves Exchange Act.—A communication was read from l bhe Public Trustee relative to the suggestion that a portion of the' Hospital reserve, 7a, ab Ellerslie, be sold, to purchase 10 acres of Messrs Gardner and Potter's lands at Epsom, adjoining the - Costley Home. Valuers reports of tbe land were also read.—After over an hour's discussion, itwas agreed that the Public Trustee be instructed to purchase the land at a price not exceeding £120 per acre.
