THE WELLINGTON UNEMPLOYED.

(BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.)

Wellington, this day. Since lasb weok's agitation regarding the Wellington unemployed, the Labour Bureau has registered the names of 165 men, many of whom are past doing ordinary labour, being only fib for light easy work, or, as Mr Tregear puts it, fit occupants for State farms. Of those fib tor work of any kind, ten were sent to the Pemberton experimental farm, ten to Eketabuna, and 12employed at the Government Buildings last week. Yesterday 16 more were senb to Eketahuna Railway Works. Besides this 27 have been provided with passes to places where the Department has proof, documentary or otherwise, that they can on arrival obtain employment). Thus, it will be seen that the Bureau is gradually, bub surely, absorbing the surplus labour in a thoroughly practical manner.
