PONSONBY NAVALS' CHAMPION
BELT.
The firing for the Ponsonby Navah' champion belt was completed on Saturday last. The competition consist of two matches of 21 shots each, viz., 7 shots at 200, 300 and 500 yards. The first) two ranges of the first match were fired on April 14th, but the 500 yards, which was postponed on account of the weather, was fired with the second match on Saturday last. P.O. J. Kvran woa the belt, with the score of 145 points ; Sea. E. Vazoy, 2nd, 123 points, and P.O. J. Spinley. 3rd, 122 points. The principal scorers were: First Match.—Sea. A. Bnrnnand, 71 ; P.O. J. Bwan, 66; Gun. D. Bremner, 65 ; Sea. J. Hill, 61 ; P.O. J. Spinley, 60; Sea. E. Vazey, 60 ; Oun. R. Carnie, 56 ; 2nd PiO. 6. Pasley, 55 ; Gun. W. Morgan. 55 ; Gun. W. Barrett, 47 ; Gun. J. Down, 40.
Second Match.—P.O. J. Ewan, 79 ; Sea, E. Vazey, 63; P.O. j. Spinley, 62; Sea. J, Hill, 66; 2nd P.O. G. Pasley, 59 ; Gun. W, Joynb, 57 ; Gun. R. Carnie, 54 ; Gun. W, Barrett, 53 ; Sea. A. Burnnand, 52 ; Gun, D. Bremner, 46 ; Gun. W. Morgan, 44.
