EIGHT HOURS' LABOUR.
A USELESS PROTEST.
London, April 25. Mine owners, have sent a protest to th 6 Premier against the Eighb Hours Billon the ground that it will raise prices and prevent England competing with foreigners.
Lord Rosebery dissents from their view, and bas repiied that it is impossible for long hours labour to continue in Europe in view of the extension of the franchise now in progress.
