At a Special Meeting of the Birkenhead Borough Council, held on 29th March. 1894. it was resolved by a " Special Ordor." to be confirmed on the 26th of April, to levy a Special Rate of Fourpence in the £ on all Rateable Property in the district, to meet the annual payment of Government Loan Debentures, £83 4s 6d; and also a Special Rate of Twopence in the £ to meet the amount payabla to the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board.
