Captain Chadbourne, late of the barquentine Elinor Vernon, was a passenger by the Alameda for 'Frisco this afternoon.
The Alameda reports passing a steamer bound North at 9 a.m. yesterday. This was probably the s.s, Taieri bound for Sydney.
The s.s. Buteshire sailed from Sydney for Auckland yesterday. She is therefore due here aboub Wednoaday morning next>. t The barque Devonporb will proceed to Perth (W.A.), the noaroab port ' u0 the Coolgardie goldfields shortly, ahorjd snfficierio inducement offer.
The ketch Agnes Mwtin, which went ashore lately ab MaluV,, was got off safely and towed to Napio-.., Ib \s reported bhab she has changed hands, being bought at Napier.
