ARRIVAL OF THE COPTIC.
Wellington, this day. The Shaw, Savill Company's steamer Coptic arrived at 6 a.m. to-day from London via way ports, after an uneventful voyage. Hor dates are : London, February 22nd ; Plymouth, February 24th ; Teneriffe, March lab ; Capetown, March 18th ; Hobarb, April 7th. Auckland passengers : Mrs Wm. T. Leslie, Messrs D. S. Waddell, H. S. Hawkins, B. Shardlow, C. Darnley. The Coptic on this voyage is commanded by Captain Henry St. G. Lindsay, R.N.R., with Mr Thos. A. Whistler, R.N.R., aa chief officer, and Mr H. Clarke, R.N.R., second officer, Messrs Neish and Evans third and fourth officers respocbively. Mr E. J. Morgan (late of Orienb line) is purser, Dr. H. Michello medical officer, W. N. Purvis chief engineer, Jas. Chapman, chief steward. The Coptic, after taking in three thousand carcases mutton here, leaves for Napier on Tuesday, going thence to Lyttelton.
