NARROW ESCAPE FROM FIRE.

Dunedin, this day,
A narrow escape from a serious fire occurred ab Palmerston South. Mrs Bond, licensee of the Empire Hotel, found her bedroom in flames about 12.30 a.m., and the occupants of another room unconscious. But for her prompt action, life would probably, have been lost. The damage done was small, and is covered by insurance. ■
