The B.s. Monowai lefb Sydney yesterday for San Francisco, via this porb. She may therefore be expected here on Friday afternoon.

Tbe Mission schooner Sontbern Cross berthed ab the Queen-streeb Wharf this afbernoon, where she will load for tho Friendly Islands.

The Government steamer Hinemoa arrived in porb ab 5.30 p.m. yesberday, after a calm run up from Wellington. She leaves this evening for a cruise of several weeks to bha Islands with the Governor's party.

The s.s. Pakeha left in continuation of her voyage from London lasb evening. Her nexb porb of call is Wellington, for which pdR) she has aboub 3,000 tons of cargo. From there she proceeds to Napier, and thence to Lyttelton, to complete her loading for London.

The s.s. Tasmania arrived ab 3.45 p.m. yesterday from Sydney. She lefb thab port ab 5 p.m. last Wednesday, and experienced heavy soubherly wind and high Beat to the Three Kings, thence to arrival light variable wind and fine weather. In consequence of having 44 valuable horses on board, the Tasmania was eased down throughoub the.passage. The Tasmania resumed her passage South ab ten o'clock lasb nighb.
