Hokitika, this day. Samuel Mitchell was drowned in tho Mikonui River on Friday, and his body was found on the beaich ISmileß south yesterday. Ib is surmised thab he bried to cross the river to secure hia boat, and was carried down by the flood. He was missed on Friday nighb, bub his fabe was nob definitely known till yesterday.
