ARRIVAL OF MISS BESSIE DOYLE.
The famous young violinist, Miss Bessie Doyle, who is on a world's tour arrived in Auckland to-day from India and Sydney by the S.s. Mararoa, together with the artistes of her company. Mies Doyle, who is proceding to fulfil a starring season in the United States, will break the journey en route and make a flying tour of New Zealand, commencing at Auckland on or about) Good Friday night. The tour is under the direction of the well known managers Mr Arthur Garner and Mr James Me Mahon, with Mr S. Churchill Octer as representative in advance. It is generally concluded that Miss Doyle shares with Lady Halle the distinction of boiner tho greatest lady violinist of the day. Although bub twenty-one years old her achievements, where she recently won tho coveted Mendelssohn scholarship—the blue ribbon of the musical field—and throughout tho Continent, and still later the Indian Empire, have excited the greatest enthusiasm- Mr McMahon arrived with the Company, and full particulars will be announced to-morrow. Those supporting tho fair star are all artistes of distinction.
