AUCKLAND AUTUMN MEETING.
jlb Evett's adjustment of weights for the Saster Handicap and Steeplechase are due in Monday, and acceptances for both jventa close on the night following (Tuesjay) at 9 o'clock, when nominations for the ■ wholo of the minor events of the meeting, iogether with a forfeit for the Champagne Stakes also fall duo. Daring the past week a good deal of ,york has been gob through ab Ellerslie in 7ievv of the meeting. A horse that) is reported to look well juab now is Pegasus. The colt moves a trifle lore, but throws it off when warmed up. St. Kilda is another horse that has come on )f late. He is going in good style and the jon of Sb. L&ger should play a prominent oart ab the meeting. Tulloch, who is in ;he same stable, never looked better and he Sas done a good deal of work. Lottie has ilso got through some useful work, and so jas Gay Deceiver and Tingara. Acone and she jumper Fright are also very well and ihe ponies Sepoy and Silkworm are both j ifcriding along in a most taking manner. I'lio jumpers Kildare, Belmonb, Otakeho, Fishmonger, Crazy / Kate and fattier have all got through useful tasks. Mr L. D. Nathan's colb Three Star is»now ooking very well. He has done a lot of york, and, I think, will be found capable ■A winning the Champagne Stakes on Easier Monday. Anobher candidate for "classic" honours thab has done well,ia Srenodier. I hear that ia some- quarters ;he grand-looking son of Brigadier is •houghb food enough to bring about the bfeao of Three Star. Since Royal Rose returned home on Wednesday last, he has done steady work, ['ho Dancer, his stable companion, has juite recovered from his accident. The >\% roan haa done slow work during the veek.
