THREATENED CYCLONE.
WILL VISIT NORTH ISLAND.
(BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.)
Wellington, this day. Captain Edwin advises thab tbe northern part of the North Island in now within limit of a cyclone of unusual extent, and there has been well-defined evidence of its continual approach during the last two days. The centre is now nob more than two hundred miles north of the North Cape, and is travelling to the south southeast. This route will bring all the country northward of Lyttelton and Westporb within the area of disturbance.
