The parishioners of the Anglican Church, Dunedin, have decided to approve a recommendation bo raise the stabus of the church to a cathedral. The church property will be handed over to the cathedral body on condition that the balance of the debt is taken over, and provision made for a retiring allowance bo Archdeacon Edwards.
The Borough Council of Kilblrnie, near Wellington, object to the Wellington drainscheme to carry the sewage of the town into Lyell's Bay. The Council believe that their district would be injured if the scheme were carried into effeob, and have instructed their solicitor to prevent) ib.
