The s.B. Mararoa left shortly before 11 s>'clock this morning for Napier, Wellingion, and Lyttelton. She calls here next {Tuesday on her way back to Sydney.
H.M.s. Lizard arrived at Wellington yesterday from a trip round the West Coast Sounds, during which Bhe lost 2 boats and a seaman in the gale that raged all round New Zealand last week.
The Australia arrived in port early this morning from Wellington via East Coast ports. The purser reports leaving Wellington January 31sb at 6 p.m., experienced light winds and smooth sea to East Cape, and from there, N,E. breeze and thick weather to arrival.
The 5.9. Poberua berthed at tho Railway Wharf from Newcastle via Sydney at} 4
a.m." to-day. The Pobenir left Sydney Jannary 30, and when two days oat, she experienced a heavy gale fromS.E. toJS., which gradually hauled round to S.W., and lasted till noon on February 2. Thence moderate S.W. to southerly breeze to North Cape, and from there fresh winds and thick weather down the coast to arrival.
