SPORTING NEWS.
I'hb usual monthly meeting of tho Committee of the Auckland Racing Club was held yesterday afternoon, when tho following programmes were passed:—Oxford, 17th March ; Avondale, 14bh April; Paeroa, 17th March; Mauku, 6tb April; Raglan, 16th February; Te Aroha. Jockeys' licenses were granted to H. Berry, Wm. Gall, Thoa. Ward. In connection with the A.R.C. Winter Meeting, the Committee decided to expunge the Ladies' Bracelet and Hunters' Welter Handicap, and insert a Pony Hurdle Race each day of £50 in tbeir stead.
