BURGLARY AT CAMBRIDGE.
AN ARREST MADE.

Cambridge, this day. On Sunday morning? the shop of Mr Sargent, jeweller, was broken into. A shutter was wrenched down, and the window broken, through which the burglar entered. Fortunately, the most valuable of the stock had been put away in the vault and safe by Miss Sargent on Saturday evening, her father being away ab Huntly on busineas, bub the window and shop were pretty well cleared. Fortunately, a largo quantity of things were found bj Mr C. Tennant, chemisb, residing nexb door, planted in a corner of his shop. Constable Brennan has been shadowing four mon who arrived a few days ago, and he quickly ran one in on suspicion. On searching him, he found in his pockeb an earring, alleged to be similar to one in the swag that had been planted. Tfye man gave the name of John Booth, but he has a number of aliases. He w^s brought up this morning and remanded.
