ALLEGED LIBEL.
AN ELECTIONEERING INCIDENT,
(BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.)
' Wellington, thia day. The hearing of the libel action broughb by Mr Boil, M.H.R., againsb the weekly journal "Fair Play," for saying he was exhilarated by something other than his victory on the night of his election, begun to-day. The morning waa occupied by four witnesses, who wero called to state whab meaning bhey attached to the paragraph. All concurred that they understood it to mean that Mr Bell waa under the influence of liquor.
