THE COLLIERY STRIKE.

The efforts of miners to induce surfacemen and shiftmen in the Stockton colliery to throw the mine idle, have proved futile. The latter remember that when their wagea were recently reduced ten per cent, thab the miners looked on with indifference and made no attempt.to help them to resist the reduction.
