THE AMERICAN TARIFF.
NEW BILL CARRIED,
Washington, February 2.
The new tariff and income tax proposals, passed the Lower House by 203 to 140 amid great enthusiasm. After the vote was taksn on the new tariff, Wilson, Chairman of tho Ways and Means Committee, waa carried shoulder high from the Chamber. Such a scene baa never been equalled in the Houbq before.
