Father Kehoe, of Te Arohs, ha 3 been appointed parish priest for Tanranga. The Hon. James Mclntyre, Victorian Minister of Lands, arrived in Wellington yesterday. Resident Magistrates in New Zealand are, after March 1 next, to be known aa " Stipendary Magistrates." The natives at Omahu, a settlement down the coast, have been successful in catching a large whale. They expect to make about £200 out of it. The Hon. Entries will bo received to-morrow evening. Captain Goomes, of the cutter Tokerau, was out in the storm on Monday night.
