USING DEFACED STAMPS.
HEAVY FINE.

Christchurch, this day. At the Police Court a youth named Geo. Oakly was charged with having posted a letter bearing a postage stamp which had previously been used "and defaced. He waa fined £3 and coats, the amount altogether being £4 18a.
