RELIGION IN RUSSIA.
ATTACK ON A CHURCH,
MANY KILLED AND WOUNDED.
St. Petersburg, November 30. The Russian Governmenb ordered the closing of a Roman Catholic church in Koono, tbe capital of tho Government of the same name in Europoan Russia, on the Baltic. The Catholics resented this interference, and occupied the church. Troops were summoned to expel them, and in doing so, killed 20 and wounded 100. The remainder fled, and were pursued by Cossacks. Many lost their lives in attempting to cross the River Niemen.
