jlondon, November 23. The Roman correspondent of the " Daily Chronicle" says Cardinals Vanutelli and Pietro are mentioned as probable successors of the Pope. Mr Percival has appointed an expert to inspecb New Zealand butter and dairy produce in London. The Messageries agents here are not aware of the proposed alteration of route via Torres Straits, and do pot believe there is any such intention. Possibly steamers may call at Brisbane after Sydney.
