KAURI GUM MARKET.

Auckland, Ist November, 1893. J This market is much weaker since our lasb report a week ago ; there is almost no I demand for ordinary, and very low prices j are being accepted to effecb sales. Supplies' for the month are very beavy, about 120 tons above the average of pasb five yesva, and stocks in Auckland, which are nov. assuming large proportions, are moving off very slowly, buyers being scarce even at reduced rates. The demand for East Coasb is very limited; since the fall the quality of bhis class bas greatly fallen off. Supplies for tho month of October are about 800 tons, and for this day of November aboub 5- tons. We quote with weak market:—• Fair Ordinary .... ... ... £32 to £35 Good Ordinary ... £37t0£40 Poor Ordinary ... £28 to£3o Easb Coast ... ... ... £53 to £55 Note.—What is termed good ordinary is good bold, unpicked and well cleaned gum.
