COUNTY ELECTIONS.
The following members have been returned unopposed as members of the Waitemata County Council:—Takapuna Riding, Mr Robert Macky ; Northcobe, Mr Alexander Bruce; Kaukapakapa, Mr Roberb Sinclair ; Helensville, Captain J. A. JVlacMahon ; Waitakerei, Mr J. H. O'Neill; Waikomiti, Mr H. E. Sharpe. In the remaining districts, Birkenhead and Wainui, the seats will bo contested. Messrs Warren, Blyth, George Fitzpatrick and Alex. Wilson (tho latter the retiring member) have been nominated for Birkenhead riding, and for bho Wainui the nominations are Messrs Francis Poynton, Jas. Inglis and A. G. Hatfield, junior. The election in these districts takes place on Wednesday, tho Bth November, and the annual meeting of the Council tor the election of Chairman ia fixed for November 22ud.
