ATTEMPTED SUICIDE.
HENRY BEFORE THE COURT.
A respectable looking man named Robert Henry appeared at the Police Court this morning, before Mr R. S. Bush, R.M., to answer the charge df having "attempted to kill and murder himself." Defendant! pleaded guilty. Sergeant Gamble'Baid that on the 3rd of October the defendant went to the Hospital, and had a bullet) wound in his head, which he told the doctor he had himself inflicted. Ha had with him a six chambered revolver, of which five chambers were, loaded, the other one having been recently discharged. The R.M. said that it was hard to know what to do with such cases, as the Supreme Court would not deal with them. There was nothing to do but to dismiss such caaea. The defendant said he was unwell when he committed the act, not having slept for several days. Ha did not know why he did ib, bub he was all right now. fie had no particular reason, as nothing was troubling him, and had more money than he needed. His Worship then dismissed the information.
