PAKURANGA HUNT CLUB RACES.

The annual race meeting in connection with the Pakuranga Hunt Club, held at Ellorslie on Saturday afternoon, was well patronised by the public. Throughout the afternoon the racing was of an interesting character, and it waa noticeable for the success of horses trained by Adam Byera. Mr W. Blomfield and an efficient stafl worked the totalisators, handling £2,859 during the afternoon in a faultless marner. The Hunt Club Cup proved a capital race, the finish being a splendid one between Crazy Kate and Long Roper. Mr Wallace rode the last-named, and handled bis mount in a masterly manner, but the heavy impost of 13sfc 71b told its tale at the finish, and Crazy Kate won by a length. There was loud cheering as both horses returned to scale and the owner and rider of the winner came in for deserved congratulations. Ineorina had a very easy win in the Open Hurdles. The Ladies Bracelet tell to the Rangitikei horse Rabelars, nominated by Mrs E. D. O'Rorke and ridden by Mr O'Rorke, who only arrived from New Plymouth late in the afternoon.
