HOME RULE DEFERRED,
London, October 18. In the course of au address at Preston, the Marquis of Salisbury Btated if the Home Rule Bill did nob reappear ab the autumn session, it would be considered that Mr Gladstone had abandoned the measure. Denominational education, ho said, was becoming one of the burning questions of the day. The Home Secretary, addressing a meeting at Glasgow, announced that there waa no chance of the Home Rule Bill beiDg reintroduced next session, which would be devoted entirely to British legislation.
