BRITISH SQUADRON AT TARANTO,
AN ENTHUSIASTIC WELCOME,
Rome, October 16.
Admiral Seymour, who commands the Mediterranean squadron, landed at Taranto to-day. He was accorded an enthusiastic welcome. The town was illuminated in honour of the visit of the British fleet. In tho evening the admiral and officers were entertained aba ball. St. Petersburg, October 16. The "Novoe Vremya," in referring to the visit of the British fleet to Taranto, states thafe Greab Britain, having divested the visib of the character of a counter move to the demonstration in Toulon, both Russia and France ought to recognise bhe British attitude of neutrality.
