From the Bismarck Archipelago and British New Guinea, tiie schoonor Ivnnhoe reached Sydney on September 13th, with a full cargo, consisting of copra, pearlaholl, island curios, and gum, tho result of her trading operations among the islands. The Ivanhoe mob the trading schooner Throe Cheers at New Britain, and she reported all quiet at the outlying islands. The Three Cheers had visited the Fead Islands, where, it will be remembered, Captain Stallis and several British traders were murdered by natives. The Ivanhoe called at the Laughlan and Louisaide Islands, and tho also traded for a while on the north-east coast of New Guinea. The steam yacht Merrie England, with the Governor, Sir William Macgregor, on board, was mot at the'Loughlnn Islands. The Governor was making his usual tour of the islands. So far there have been no large finds. Fever is very prevalent on the goldfields. Encouraging reports are given of the mission work in Ivew Guinea. The Ivanhoe called off the London Missionary Society's station, and also the Wesleyan Mission station. The missionaries reported all well. The Rev. MiFellows, attachod to one of the_ mission stations, was making preparations to return to Sydney when tho Ivanhoe left.
