September, 19bb, 1893, Wool.—The sales opened at tho level of lasb sales ; competition by both Home and foreign buyers is fairly active and attendance of both Home and foreign buyers is good. The total quality available, including wool held over from lasb Beries, is 249,000 bales, 32,000 of which has beeu forwarded to the manufacturing districts direct. Wheat: Market is steady. New Zealand wheat fair average quality is worth c.i.f. to arrive 27s 6d per 4801b. Spob quotations have advanced Is per 4961b since last report. j
