I have seen Mr Cadman. Ha soems very doubtful about acceptiug the Public Works and Mines portfolios. Doubtless he thinks thatpeople may put a wrong construction on his not being offered his old position. Although he ia very likely to refuse the new portfolios, I should nob wonder if he gives way if shown ib will be for the be3t interests of the country.
