Drunkenness.—Three first offenders wer G each lined 5s and costs, while a fourth for feited his bail of 20s.— Margaret Lyons, Mary McKegnic and Owen Carroll wero each lined 10s, or 48 hours' hard labour in default, for having boon drunk.—William Montgomery, for a similar ollenco, was lined 20s, or „ev_n days' in default, and Eliza Lestrango, for habitual drunkenness, was sentenced to one mouth's incarceration with hard labour.

Bosworth.— Servant Gamblo conducted the prosecution.—John Thomas Bosworth, telegraph operator, deposod that the opera glasses produced were taken from his lodgings in Alten Road. Bernard Gnldwater, pawnbroker, deposed to having purchased the opera glasses for Cs from the prisoner. Prisoner stated that tho glasses wero his nwn ,—Acting-Detective Bailey deposed to having arreated tho accused.—Prisoner reserved his defence and was committed to tako hi& trial at the nexb criminal sessions ,of the Supreme Court.
