It is tho intention of Inspector Hickson to continue his crusade against the occupiers of houses of ill-fame, and to prosecute them every week until such time as they shall leave the city. The Inspector has been very considerate in the paab in the reapect of allowing the men found in the houses to escape Bcot free. He intends, in future, however, to take the names of all persons found in these premises, and to summon them to appear at the Police Courb as witnesses for tho prosecution against the women. We are informed that the whole of the houses of ill-fame in Auckland, of which the police have knowledge, are situated within the city.
