"VTOTICE is hereby given that with the -1-1 objectof vestingin the Mayor, Councillors, aya Citizens of the City of Auckland (heroinarter called the Corporation), the lands now held as and in connection with the Public Domain of Auckland, a Local Bill will for that purpose and subject to the provisions of such ■Bill be introduced into Parliament during: the present session thereof on the 17th day of August, 1893, or jo soon thereafter as it can be legally done: 1. The objects of the said Bill are to vest the whole of the lands described in the schedule thereto and known as "The Government Domain or Auckland Park," and also the northern portion of Section 34, of the City of Auckland in the Corporation, freed and discharged from any prior trusts thereto attaohing, put.subjeot only to the trusts and provisions thereby created and subject to the provisions of Section 31. of "The Public Works Amendment Act, 1889." Another object of the said Bill is to vest in the Corporation all personal property and choses in action due or belonging to the person or persons, and Body Corporate to whom the Governor has delegated under "The Public Domains Act, 1881," any of the powers thereby conferred hereinafter called the Board,'or to Her Majesty the Queen for rent or use or occupation of any part pf the said lands; and also all contracts, leases, or agreements made by the Board or Her Majesty the Queen or His JiXcelloncy the Governor affecting any part of the said lands; another objectof the said Bill is that the said Domain with the exception of those portions thereof included in clauses 4 and 5 of the schedule thereto, and which portions are now mcd as vegetable gardens, shall be held by the Corporation as a place of public recreation and enjoyment for the Inhabitants of the Borough of the City of Auckland; and that the portion thereof now used as a Botanic Garden shall at all times hereafter be kept and maintained by the Corporation for such purpose. Another object of the said Bill is that the Corporation shall hold the portion of the said lands now used as a cricket ground as a recreation ground and exercise in respect thereof powers similar to those contained in sections 5 and 6, and subsections 2 to 7 of section 4 of "The Public Reserves Act, 1831, Amendment Act, 1885." Another object of the said Bill is that all moneys which, under the provisions of any statute, deed, or agreement, are payable to tho Board for the maintenance of the said Domain, shall continue to be set apart, and applied by the Corporation for the purposes of the said Bill. Another object of the said Bill is that Snetions 10, 11, 15, 16. 17 and 18 of "The Public Domains Act, 1831," shall oxtend and apply to the Domain. Another object of the said Bill is to enable the Corporation to let on leasse the lands included in clauses 3.4 and sof the schedule thereto, being the said northern portion of the said section 34, and the two portions of the Raid Domain now let and used as TOgetable gardens. The above Bill will tie introduced into Parliament as above, by or on behalf of the Mayor, Councillors and Citizens of the City of Auckland. A copy of tho said Bill, together with a duly certified plan of the lands which it in proposed by the said Bill to vest in the Corporation, has, in. accordance with Standing Orders Nos. 352 and 353, been deposited in the Resident Magistrate's Court.
