DEATH OF MR GEORGE DIDSBURY.

Wellington, this day. The Government Printer, Mr George Didsbury, Who has been in weak health for gome time, died last evening, aged.s4. For some time previous' to his last illness, he had been suffering from diabetes, and about ten days ago he was attacked with peritonitis. He took to bed on Sunday, but a weakened constitution was unable to stand the strain, and he gradually sank. Mr Didsbury was born in New South Wales, and in infancy was brought) to New-Zealand by his parents, who settled ab Korerareka, Bay of Islands, then the only town in the colony. He served his : apprenticeship at the printing establishment of Messrs Williamson and Wilson, proprietors of the "NewZealander," Auckland, and was appointed Government printer in 1865. In business circles he was well known as a director of the Gear Meat Company and Palmerston North Gas Company.
