MINING.

Orj March 27 a special meeting of the shareholders in the New Manukau Goldmining Company was held ab -bhe office of Mr F. A. White, Government Insurance Buildings, in order to consider the financial position of the Company, and to discuss an offermadeby the Waiotahi Goldmining Company for the property. There were seven shareholders present, Mr W. Wilson presiding. The chairman explained that an offer bad boon made by the Waiotahi Company to tako over the mine, on the condition of paying all the liabilities. The Company he said, had not been able to make the mine pay, and as another call would I be necessary if they continued to work tho mine, he considered that the besb course to adopt would be bo accept the offer of tho Waiotahi Company. The preseub liabilities of the company were stated to be £370 8s 3d, which would be increased to £400 before the mine was taken ovor. On the motion of Mr Bell, seconded by Mr Bodell, ib was resolved that the offer of tho Waiotahi Goldmining Company be accepted.
