Christchurch, this day.
At the Police Court this morning a boy of tender years was charged, in conjunction tt'th another, with breaking into the D.I.C. -™ Ptealing a lot of coppers. This was 'he second offence within a fortnight. The Bench said it was a moß t difficult bhing to ■real with a boy of his age. There was no other course bub to send him to gaol for lourfceen days, to be kept separate from tbe Mer prisoners. Cia«. Lewis Fleming was committed for trial on charges of larceny as a bailee of a horse, saddle and bridle." He hired them j Abiroa to ride to Little River, but came mto Christchurch and sold them to a liotel•seeper, to whom he owed a small account.
