Melbourne, this day. A good dea'. of correspondence is passing between tho Premiers of Victoria and Now • South Wales respecting the righb to coin silver. Mr Snieis states that the chief obstacle to the negotiations is the opposition of Now South Wales, who professed to be willing to lend assistance. Victoria is in no senso subordinade to Naw South Wales, and he deprecates that colony being allowed to control or prejudico Victoria's application. He points out that it is now probable that, owing to the action of New South Wales, when the question is settled it will be on less favourable terms to both colonies than would otherwise have been the case.
