INDIAN OPIUM TRADE.
Cannot be surrendered.
London, November 11. The Earl of Kimberley, secretary for India, replying to a deputation, said he was nor, prepared to surrender the revenue derived from the Indian opium trade, nor did he believe that any Government would consent to the suggestion.
