Tukukino, a powerful chief of the Thames tribes, died at Komaba(Ohinemuri) a few days ago, aged about 95 years. Ho was for many years one of the principal obstructionists to the opening of Ohinemuri to white people. Tukukino took a prominent part in the Waikato war.
