Harriet Is Still Alive.

The unexpected often happens in this strange life we all have to live. • The other day Clerk Gleason, of Bellevue hospital, New York, nearly fell off his chair with surprise when a pleasant faced, elderly woman walked into the office and asked for treatment. He recognized in his caller a woman whom he supposed had long before been buried in potter's field. Her name is Harriet Jbryne and her age seventy-five years.

Previous to Nov. 19,1890, and since the establishment of the new hospital, she had been a regular monthly visitor to the institution, but ab her own request was always committed to the almshouse. On Nov, 19, 1890, a woman was, taken to the hospital in an ambulance,

All the attendants were positive that she was Harriet, and she was so registered. The following day she died and her body was buried--in potter's field.

When Harriet paid her long delayed visit there was naturally much consternation. The mistake was soon rectified, however, and Harriet was sent to the almshouse.
