He had a chattel interest of £80 in theP«P?rty> and contended that was all he should be assessed at. The Surrey Hills Company were the registered owners of the property. The property was originally b c °ii? by a man named Roberts, but £200 of the amount was never paid. He bought Roberts'interest for £80. Mr Ussher contended that Mr Thorne was the owner of the property, and had control over it. The Board recommended Mr Thorne and the valuer to confer with the Surrey Hills Company anent the matter. R. K. JBaber, aa trustee, allotments and houses, Mackelvie-street, £784; valuation sustained. Ann Blewden, £550, nearly 4 acres of land, Cox's Creek ; reduced to £300. Andrew Bell, £190, 2£ acres, Cox's Creek; reduced to £150. A number of objectors did not appear.
