PAKURANGA HUNT CLUB MEETING.

The Pakuranga Hunt Club held their Winter Eace Meeting at Ellerslie on Saturday afternoon. The attendance was small. Messrs L. Adams and C. F. Andrews worked the totalisators, the sum of £2,034 being invested. Mr H. H. Hayr performed the secretorial duties in a satisactory manner. Ab the stone wall coming into the straight Ingorangi still had the lead,, and he showed Fishmonger and Scaltheen over the double in front of the stand, Chance being fourth, and Stepper fifth. Ascending the hill for the laßb time, Scaltheen improved his position, and when the top was reached he was on the girths of lagorangi, while Stepper came to grief at the firsfc obstacle on the hill. Scalbheen and Ingorangi crossed the stone wall coming into the straight almost on terms, and the pair rose at the last hurdle together, but Scaltheen, showing the most pace, ran home winner by a couple of lengths.
