GUM MARKET.
Auckland, April 13, 1892.
Private cables report a duller market and easier prices at London auctions, which wore held on the 7th inst., arid theso cables are confirmed by the Associated Press cable which we published on 9th inst. It is too early as yet to ascertain what definite effect the above news may have on the
Auckland market, but, generally speaking, there ie among buyers an expectation of somewhat lower prices, and until this market becomes settled and prices are reestablished, we can only quote somewhab nominally as below. The supplies efaill continue very large, being for 13 days of April about 394 tons.
We quote meanwhile nominally, with a somewhab unsettled market and possible downward tendency : —
Ordinary (unsettled) £41 to £42 Unpicked ordinary (unsettled) £43 to £47 Poor ordinary (unsettled) ... £37 to £39 Eaeb Coast (steady) £70
