London, Fehruary 12
Sir James Ferguson, PostmasterGeneral, states that the charge for conveying the Indian mails via Calais and Brindisi by special trains had been reduced by a sum of .£7,300 per year. The Salonica route was feasible and perhaps quicker, but it was not proposed at present to adopt it.
